Six members of the House of Representatives from Delta State on Tuesday defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defectors are Victor Nwokolo, Julius Pondi, Thomas Ereyitomi, Nicholas Mutual, Ukodhiko Jonathan, and Nnamdi Ezechi.
The lawmakers in separate letters addressed to the Speaker of the House Representatives , Hon. Tajudeen Abas said they decided to quit PDP due to intractable internal wranglings.
Also, two members of the house from Enugu State ; Mark Obetta and Denis Nnamdi also crossed from the Labour Party to the PDP.
Also in Asaba, 22 members of the Delta State House of Assembly, including the Speaker, Rt Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, also defected from the PDP to the APC.
The same scenario also played out on Tuesday in the Edo State House of Assembly where the Speaker, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku defected from PDP to APC alongside some other members of the house.
