Simon Harry, Nigeria’s Statistician -General is dead

Abuja – Mr Simon Harry, the Statistician-General of the federation and Head of National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) is dead.

He died Wednesday morning in Abuja after a brief illness.

Sunday Ichedi, Head of communication and Public Relations Department of the NBS confirmed the development to newsmen.

Harry fell into vcoma over the weekend, leading to the speculation of his death but his office stoutly explained that he was alive.

He was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in August, 2021 to replace Yemi Kale as statistician-general of the federation to head the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
