Lokoja – The new Bishop of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh, Lokoja, Rt Rev Olufemi Omotayo, has charged members of the church to serve the Almighty God to enable them to attain their chosen destiny.
He made the charge on Thursday while addressing members of the church during a thanksgiving service.
The Bishop expressed his gratitude to the Primate and Founder of the Church, Apostle Oluwashanu Olabayo, who he said God used to make him what he is today.
In his Sermon, Bishop T. E. Bako, Chairman, Penticostal Churches of Nigeria,Kogi State Chapter, praised the new Bishop for deeming it right to organise the Thanksgiving.
He addea that ingratitude is not only a sin, but also an act of wickedness and an abomination to God.
Bako therefore called on the congregation to imbibe the spirit of thanksgiving so that they can get more of God’s blessings.
He admonished them to support the new Bishop in his new role.
Many groups participated in the Thanksgiving amongst whom were varous units of the Church, family members, members of Ogori Defendants Union, Lokoja branch and other guests.
The thanksgiving service was wounded off with a reception where guests were entertained.
