Saraki To Host Baseball, Softball Championship, Release N8mln

Ilorin – Former Kwara State First Lady, Mrs Toyin Ojora-Saraki has
released N8million for the clearing of educational materials, baseball and softball equipments and other side events coming up during the second edition of the annual Baseball and Softball Championship and Educational Talk.

Ojora -Saraki has been the major sponsor and host of the event in her bid to boost sports development in Nigeria.

Ojora-Saraki, is the wife of Senator Bukola Saraki, former Special Adviser to President Obasanjo, two term Executive Governor of Kwara State, Fmr. Chairman, Governor’s Forum, President of the 8th Senate Assembly Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ambassador Temitayo Femi Abolarin , the organiser of the event disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.

According to him, the money is meant for the
clearing of educational materials with baseball and softball equipments worth N65 million.

He said the materials are to be shared to the less privileged amongst the three senatorial district of Kwara State.

“Party of the amount is also for the hosting of the 2nd edition of Her Excellency’s championship and educational talk and welfare packages for athletes, kids and officials

“Even after 12 years that she left office, Her Excellency’s love for Kwara state youth development through her unbeatable achievements has not shrink at all,” Abolarin said.

He attested to the national and global impact of His Excellency Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki in Sports through the creation of Kwara Football Academy and Her Excellency’s impact on Health and Sports.
