Prominent Ibadan businessman and popular politician, Chief Yekini Adeojo, is dead.
Adeojo died Friday morning in Ibadan after a brief illness.
He was a former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and held the prestigious title of Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland. He was also a notable chieftain in Ibadan.
Adeojo was one of the founding members of the PDP in Oyo State and the father of Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, the current Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government.
The late Adeojo was the governorship candidate of the PDP in the governorship election in Oyo State in 1999 and narrowly lost the election late Alhaji Lam Ade of the defunct AD.
