Professor Ogbo Support Group For Ododo In Ogori -Magongo, Other Groups Organise Novelty Football Match To Honour Prof. Ogbo

A novelty football match organised in honour of Prof. Usman Ogbo, the Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja will hold on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of the state.

The football match according to a statement from the organisers said it will kick off by 10:00AM at the RCM Football field, Eni Ogori, Ogori-Magongo council area.

Prof. Ogbo will be the Special Guest of honour at the event and will equally Kick off the Novelty match.

The Novelty football Match is being organized in appreciation of the remarkable and unprecedented achievements witnessed at the State Polytechnic under the leadership of Prof. Ogbo.

The event is a partnership of several other organizations with the Prof Ogbo Support Group for Ododo in Ogori Magongo LGA.

The statement added that Hon. Monday Anuwe and Hon. Abdulazeez Damissah are among the key members of the Planning Committee for the football Match.

“The Polytechnic has witnessed both infrastructural and academic development that has attracted the attention of Kogi indigenes that are desiring development of the State”. the statement said.

The organisers said it is in appreciation of the excellent contribution to educational development of Kogi State by the Prof. Ogbo that led to the hosting of the novelty match in his honour to celebrate his birthday.

While commending Prof. Ogbo for raising the bar of excellence at the Polytechnic, the organisers said they look forward to his presence as Special Guest of Honour and to ‘Kick off the novelty match.”
