A man, Sunday Obasuyi has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for kidnapping and killing his 82-year old father, Michael Obasuyi.
Sunday,42 years,was arraigned alongside with two other accomplices;Akinniyi (51) and Bobafe Sunday (51).
Giving details, the prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants conspired and kidnapped the aged man on February 1, at about 11am in Agbado-Ekiti, Gbonyin local government area.
He said that his corpse was, discovered some weeks later in a shallow grave.
Police investigations later revealed that Sunday Obasuyi conspired with Akinniyi to kidnap his father and sold him to the third defendant, Sunday who is a herberlist at N1.8million, the prosecutor said
The prosecutor the offences contravened Sections 280, 279 and 234 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
In his riling, Magistrate Bankole Okuwasanmi, ordered the three accused to be remanded at the correctional facility in Ado-Ekiti. (Daily Trust)
