Ondo State Governor, Ogbeni Rotimi Akeredolu is dead.
He was said to have died at about 2am of Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in a German hospital where he was receiving treatment.
He died of leukemia and prostate cancer, two ailments that had made him incapacitated for several months.
A top government source confirmed the unfortunate development to Channels Television.
Akeredolu died after a prolonged battle with Leukemia.
However, a family , source said he was managed by State House doctors up to his death because they could not fly him abroad.
“Akeredolu is dead; he died in Lagos,” the source said.
His family is yet to officially react .
Akeredolu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), and former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), was a second-term governor before his death.
