NPFL : 3SC Retains 17 Players, Sacks Over 20 Others

Ibadan – Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, 3SC of Ibadan have retained seventeen players and terminated the contracts of over twenty others in a major reorganisation announced by the management of the club on Saturday.

3SC which narrowly escaped being relegated to the lower league at the end of 2021/2022 league season is seeking to restructure in preparation for the coming season starting in September.

The club Chief Coach,Edith Agoye earlier this week resigned from his job.

The club’s management in a statement that the decision to retain 17 players and sacked over 20 was taken after an extensive appraisal of the club’s performance in the last season.

“An extensive appraisal of the performance of the team in the just concluded season had been carried out hence, the list.

The retained players are as follow:

Dede Dare, Udo Okechukwu, Ghali Falke, Eze Chidera, Ebuka Anaekwe, Omololu Waheed, Isiaka Mutiu, Adekunle Adeniyi, Uche Ezeala and Olatunji Dare.Others are; Aniete Uko, Raheem Quadri, Akilu Muhammed, Malomo Taofeek Opeoluwa Olufemi, Olafimihan Gafar and Omodemueke Moses.

“The aforementioned players are advised to resume promptly as soon as the new Technical Adviser is unveiled.

“On behalf of the Management, I am to appreciate others for their contributions to the development and growth of the Club in previous years and particularly the season that just ended while wishing you the best in future endeavours,” the statement obtained from the club’s website said.
