Makurdi – The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Benue State chapter, has commended the Commissioner, officers and men of the state police command over its recent successful rescue of a kidnapped doctor.
The state Chairman NMA), Dr. Ushakuma Anenga gave the commendation when he led a delegation of state officers of the association on a visit to the state Commissioner of Police, Okoro Alawari Julius.
Dr Mark Ogbodo, PRO, NMA, Benue State, who briefed journalists after the visit said Anenga expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Commissioner for his prompt action.

commended efforts displayed by the police which led the successful rescue a member of the association recently kidnapped by bandits
“He also acknowledged the crucial role played by the police in ensuring the safety of lives and property and praised the commissioner and his team for their unwavering dedication and commitment to their duties,” Ogbodo said.
Responding, CP Okoro said he was impressed by the significant impact doctors played in the society by preserving and improving the well-being of the people.
He further assured the NMA delegation of the police readiness to forge a strong and mutually beneficial partnership with the association.
