Nigeria’s inflation has jumped to 25.80 per cent for August 2023, according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The latest figure is 1.72% points higher than the 24.08% reported in July, the Friday report added.

“On a year-on-year basis, the headline inflation rate was 5.27% points higher compared to the rate recorded in August 2022, which was 20.52%.
