A Nigerian female Airforce officer, Master Warrant Officer George Elizabeth Titilayo serving at 651 Base Services Group, has been found dead in an apparent suicide , official said on Sunday
An Intelligence source told Zagaza Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region that the Air Force personnel was found unresponsive at her Residence at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja, Lagos, after she hung herself inside her room at about 1400hrs on 10 June 2023.
The sources said that she was pronounced dead by 3 Air Provosts who came with another team of personnel to evacuate the body to the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital.
In a telephone conversation, the NAF spokesperson, Air commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa also confirmed the incident adding that a board of inquiry has been instituted to ascertain the reason for her action.
