The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Benue State has announced the biggest seizure of substance suspected to be cocaine in the history of the command.

Phillemon Saror, the NDLEA Assistant State Commander, Media/Advocacy, in a statement, noted that the suspected cocaine concealed in an MP3 Speaker weighed 350gram and was seized from a 25-year-old male.

He also stated that the arrest was made on Thursday at 10am by the NDLEA Otukpo Area Command during an ambush in a well coordinated follow up operation.

Saror said : “There was an interception of way bill at NDLEA check point along Enugu road, Otukpo; a diligent stop and search operation was carried out resulting in the highest seizure of cocaine in the history of Benue State Command weighing 350grams in an MP3 Speaker.

“The suspect is a male aged 25 years. The suspect is in custody under investigation awaiting prosecution in court. Arrest was made on Thursday, July 4, 2024.”
