Lagos – A mother, Rhoda Olabanji, and two of her children have died from explosion occasioned by petrol in Dantata area, Satellite Town, Lagos State.
This development was confirmed by the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
Olabanji, 33 and her children, aged three and five years, died on Saturday in her husband’s shop.
According to available information, Olabannji’s husband, David, is a black marketer of petroleum products in Satellite Town.
He usually stores the products in the shop.
Last Saturday, he was in the shop with his family when an explosion occurred.
Speaking on the development, Hundeyin on his Twitter handle, tweeted: “This is age-long, but still valid: Do not store petrol at home.
“Somewhere in Lagos today, a 33-year-old woman and her two children aged 5 and 3 were burnt to death after the petrol stored in their room exploded.” (Punch / vitalnewsngr.com)
