Governor Yahaya Bello, on Thursday charged members of the APC to maintain peaceful conduct during the governorship election holding on Saturday, November 11 in the state.
Bello made the charge in Lokoja on Thursday while speaking at a stakeholders meeting of APC.
He stressed the need for members of APC and the entire residents to maintain peace and orderliness throughout the entire electoral process.
The governor expressed confidence that, considering the dedication of party members throughout the campaign and the achievements of his administration, the APC would secure a resounding victory.
Bello said the victory be so resounding that the election day will turn into a festive occasion marked by celebration and entertainment.
He, however, warned them to refrain from actions that could disrupt the state’s peace, saying that any form of violence would be dealt with according to the law.
He urged citizens to co-operate with law enforcement agents to ensure a smooth and orderly electoral process.
Bello states that the heavy presence of security men in the state was to protect to the electorate and other citizens during the exercise.
Bello appealed to the people to cast their votes massively for the APC candidate, Hon Ododo Ahmed Usman, and his running mate, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu. (vitalnewsngr.com)
