Ekiti – A former member of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Sule Adedayo Longe has allegedly been kidnapped by gunmen in Ijesa-Isu axis of Ikole Ekiti.
A statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday by one of his in relatives said the gunmen also kidnapped an unspecified number of passengers from a commercial vehicle on the route.
Longe who represented Ekiti East Constituency 11 during the first tenure of Governor Ayodele Fayose was a lawyer by profession.
He was travelling from Omuo-Oke to Ado Ekiti where he was billed to appear in a court when he was stopped and pulled out of his vehicle by the gunmen.
Longe’s whereabouts, according to his family is still unknown at the time of filing this report.
His vehicle which was left on the road has been towed by family members but all his telephone lines are currently switched off. (vitalnews)
