Legendary Yoruba Poet, Author, businessman, social crusader and foremost Ewi Exponent, Chief Mas’ud Olanrewaju Akanmu Adepoju is dead.
Adepoju died at abiut 19.10pm today, Sunday, December 10, 2023
at UMB Central Mosque, Agodi Ibadan.
He was 83 years.
Adepoju till his death held the chieftaincy title of Are Alasa of Ibadanland.
He was the author of the popular yoruba book ” Ladepo Omo Adanwo.”
Adepoju who was born at Oke Pupa , Akufo , Ido Local Government of Oyo state.
He worked as a proof reader in People’s Star Press, founded by former Premier of Western Region Late Samuel Ladoke Akintola after which he moved to WNTV and WNBS.
Adepoju will be buried according to Islamic rites in Ibadan, tomorrow, Monday, December 11, 2023.
