Governor Seyi Makinde, of Oyo State, has approved Friday, September 26, 2025 for the installation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
The new Olubadan who was also a formetr governor of Oyo State was born on September 25, 1944.
The development followed
Governor Makinde’s approval of Ladoja’s nomination as the next Olubadan.
The formal coronation ceremony is scheduled to hold at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.
A state delegation reportedly met with Oba Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his residence in Bodija on Wednesday to finalise preparations.
While confirming the development, Chief Adeola Oloko, a media aide to the Olubadan-designate, said: “Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.”
