Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed sadness on the death of Ondo State Governor , Olurotimi Akeredolu (SAN).
Abdulrasaq in his reaction described Akeredolu as an exceptional statesman who made indelible marks in public service.
“My heartfelt condolences go to the Progressives Governors’ Forum, the government and people of Ondo State, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), as well as the immediate family of my dear brother and colleague His Excellency Olurotimi Akeredolu, SAN,” the Governor said in a personal statement.
“A frontline lawyer and conscientious politician of progressive bent, His Excellency would be remembered for his courage, patriotism, and immeasurable contributions to the constitutional and sociopolitical development of Nigeria.
“As painful as his exit is to all of us, we take solace in his fine legacies as a gentleman and statesman. We ask God to repose his soul and look after his family,” Abdulrazak said in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye

Orji Kalu has Commiserated with the people and Government of Indo State over the death of Akeredolu
Kalu described Akeredolu’s death as a huge loss to the country.
He said the late politician was bold, courageous, fearless and selfless, adding that he was an accomplished Nigerian, who was well known in the legal profession and political circle.
The former governor noted that the late Akeredolu contributed immensely to nation building through various platforms.
He urged the Akeredolu family to uphold the remarkable legacies of their late patriarch.
Kalu acknowledged the outstanding leadership qualities of the late politician.
Kalu said : “On behalf of the people of Abia North Senatorial district, I commiserate with the government and people of Ondo state over the demise of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
“The late politician carved a niche for himself in the legal profession and politics.
“He was outstanding in various endeavours.
“The late politician played invaluable roles in the growth and sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy.
“He was indeed an accomplished Nigerian in all ramifications.
“The late legal luminary will no doubt be missed for his counsel on national issues.
“He will be remembered for his worthy deeds”.
