Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the killing of three of its officers by gunmen at a road checking point in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Council area of the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Ovye confirmed this to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday.
He said the incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday.
Aya asserted that the Kogi State Commissioner of Police Miller Dantawaye has deployed Police tactical team to the area to fish out the killers.
Egbe is a boundary town between Kogi and Kwara States.
Aya said : “The Commissioner of Police has deployed tactical squad to the area.
“We are currently on the trail of this Men of the under world and they will all be arrested.”
