Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance, Hon. James Faleke have met to fashion out strategies on how the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate , Ahmed Usman Ododo will emerge tops in the November 11 governorship election holding in the state.
Both Bello and Faleke met on Friday in Abuja.
Faleke came with a contingent of prominent politicians, including the immediate past Minister of State for Labour, Prof Stephen Ocheni, Barrister Dangana Ocheja, a former senator, Barrister Eke Maimuna Audu, daughter of the former governor of the state; and Hon Duro Meseko, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC.
Speaking, Governor Bello
reaffirmed the fundamental principle of equal rights to participation and representation for all party members in Kogi State.
Bello emphasized the existing level playing ground for all members of the party, promising to sustain the principle in the interest of the party and its members.
Faleke in his remark, reiterated their their decision to wholeheartedly support the APC and Ododo Ahmed Usman in the coming election.
He said the decision followed a meeting with other party members in Abuja.
Faleke said their visit to Bello was also in preparation for the official flag-off campaign ceremony of the APC in Kogi State.
He emphasised that their dedication to working for the ruling APC is motivated by the broader interests of both the state and the nation.
The House of Representatives member assured that the APC is united and waxing stronger than ever before.
This development reflects the APC members’ unwavering commitment to unity and their collective aspiration for victory in the forthcoming November 11 governorship election.
