Kogi CP Charges Officers On Election Duty To Be Guided By Law

Lokoja – Kogi state Commissioner of police, Yekini Ayoku has charged officers and men of the command that have been deployed for election duty to ensure that their conduct is guided by extant laws, rules, and regulations as well as standard norms and practices.

The Commissioner of Police, made the charge in Lokoja on Wednesdays during a meeting with Area Commanders, Tactical and Operational Commanders, Divisional Police Officers as well as other supervisory Officers.

He charged them to enhance National Security and democracy through quality, civil-oriented, and human rights-compliant Police Security service delivery before, during, and after the 2023 General Elections.

The Commissioner further tasked the officers to ensure that they work in synergy with other security agencies to provide adequate security during this election period.

He also urged the good people of the State to feel free to come out and exercise their franchise as adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure a peaceful, secure and credible 2023 General Election.
