Rev. Fr. Wilfred Ezeamba, the Catholic Priest who was kidnapped on Friday, September 12, 2025 in Kogi State has been released.
Rev. Fr. Ezemba of St Paul Parish, Agaliga-Efabo in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State was released on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Reports said residents of Agaliga-Efabo burst into jubilation as Rev. Ezeamba emerged in the village.
Meanwhile, two suspects had earlier been arrested in connection with his kidnap.
Rev. Fr. Ezeamba was abducted on Imane-Ogugu road while on his way home from a burial in Imane community also in Olamaboro Local Government.
It can not be ascertained whether a ransom was paid before his release.
Police are investigating the incident.
