The Chairman of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), Alhaji Sule Salihu Enehe, has congratulated Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on his emergence as the governor-elect of Kogi State.
Enehe , was reacting to the declaration of Ododo of APC as the winner of the governorship election held in the state on November 11.
The Executive Chairman congratulated the Governor-elect, Usman Ododo, and his Deputy, Comrade Joseph Oyibo Salifu, for their resounding and well deserved victory at the polls.
Muhammad Mukhtar Idris, Head, Corporate Communications Unit, KGIRS signed the statement.
Enehe, in the statement issued on Sunday, 13th of November, 2023, in Okene where he exercised his franchise said the will of the people has once again prevailed.
He said the peaceful conduct of the election and the wild jubilation that followed underscored the existing unity and strong bond among the indigenes of the state.
“The election has come to show that there is unity in diversity and also a testament to the “One Kogi Agenda” that the current administration of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has laboured to achieve,” Enehe said.
The Executive Chairman also specially congratulated Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his uniqueness in leadership that will forever remain indelible in the hearts of all Kogites.
“The Chairman also acknowledged the Governor’s achievements over the years as unprecedented and thanked him for not falling short of expectations despite the challenging times and turns that he met and encountered.
“The Executive Chairman further sent his hearty congratulations to the entire citizens of Kogi State for a free and free election.
“He noted that this is a common win for all, regardless of any party affiliations as we all still have our Kogi in one piece after the process; a process which has clearly defined all Kogites as winners of the just concluded elections.
“The Executive Chairman further urged every contestants to work with the new government for the greater good of the common all,” the statement said
The Chairman then prayed for God’s wisdom, guidance and understanding for the Governor-elect even as he prayed for him for a successful tenure in long life and good health.
