The Kano State Government has lifted the dawn-to-dusk curfew imposed in the state.
The state commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Mallam Muhammad Garba, announced this in a statement on Monday night.
The state government had on Monday morning imposed the curfew to checkmate likelihood of a break down of law and order.
The decision followed the tension generated by the conduct, collation of results and subsequent announcement of the winner of the governorship election conducted in the state on March 18.
He said the decision to lift the curfew followed a careful review of the situation and the relative calm throughout the state.
The commissioner called on commercial banks, public servants and the people in the state to continue their normal activities.(vitalnewsngr.com)
