KABBA DAY 2022 : AEDC, TCN Gear Up To Ensure Uninterrupted Power Supply

The Managing Director of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) , Engr. Adeoye Fadeyibi has directed immediate overhaul of the company’s distribution network
and Kabba Distribution Sub Sector ‘s Feeder in order to ensure an hitch-free/ uninterrupted power supply to Kabba town.

Fadeyibi directed that the interrupted power supply to Kabba should be from Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5.

The 2022 edition of Kabba Day annual celebrations holds from November 4-5.

As part of this process,
The Regional Technical Team of AEDC has visited Kabba town in Kogi West Senatorial District to appraise the network and do a Network Improvement
Need Assessment.

Sequel to this, there will be Network Patrol and General Network Improvement Appraisals/ Overhauled in Kabba from Monday,October 31 to Thursday, November 3.

The MD has further directed the Regional Technical Team in Kogi State to ensure smooth and prompt
replacement of faulty network line materials (if and where any) to guaranteed 24/ 7 power supply.

Kabba Day Celebration, a yearly event is expected to take place on Saturday 5th Day of November, 2022

This year’s 2022 KABBA DAY is expected to have in attendance, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential Candidate of APC, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Senator Smart Adeyemi, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke and prominent indigenes of Kabba-Oweland including, His Eminence John Cardinal Onaiyekan Bishop Emeritus, Catholic Arch Diocese of Abuja and Member, National Peace Council/ National Inter Religious Council ,a former Chief of AIr Staff in the regime of General Sanni Abacha ,Air Marshal Femi John Femi and former Director, Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), retired Naval Admiral Mathew Ajayi.

Others are the Speaker , Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Kolawole Mathew, Member, Representing Kabba/ Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency at the House Representatives, Hon. T. J Yusuf , Hon.Stephen Kola Ologbodiyan, a
fomer National Publicity Secretary of PDP , Segun Adaju, President,
Renewable Energy Association among others prominent Nigerian and eminent personalities
from within and outside the country.

In a related development,
The Management of Transmission Company of Nigeria has assured of
stable and reliable power supply to Kabba TCN Feeeder during / after the Kabba Day Celebration
