The planned Administration Course, organized by the Jigawa State Sports Council for stakeholders, has been rescheduled to hold from June 8 to June 13, 2025.
The course earlier scheduled to take place from April 22 to April 26, 2025, was postponed due to some unforseen developments.
The course will still hold
at the Manpower Development Institute in Dutse, Jigawa State as earlier planned.
Tony Nezianya, Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC,) announced the postponement.
He said Project Coordinator, Mrs Deborah Chidiobi, in consultation with the management of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), announced the postponement.
He explained that the postponement is specifically due to the ongoing strike by a crucial sector of the aviation industry—specifically, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet)—which has resulted in airlines suspending their services.
“Consequently, many experts slated to participate in the programme were unable to travel to the event.
“The Sports Administration Course aims to provide introductory training for elected officials, paid National Olympic Committee (NOC) staff members, National Federations (NFs), club managers, physical education teachers, and sports journalists,” he said.
