Iran’s Health Ministry has announced that at least 610 civilians have been killed and more than 4,700 wounded since the outbreak of hostilities with Israel began on June 13, 2025.

Health Ministry spokesman, Hossein Kermanpour, provided the updated casualty figures on Tuesday, noting a significant rise from the previously reported toll of over 400 fatalities and 3,056 injuries.

“They are all civilians,” Kermanpour said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

“Over the past 12 days, hospitals across the country have been confronted with extremely harrowing scenes.”

On Monday morning, Kermanpour also posted on X, “Since the start of Israel’s war against our nation, 163 women have been injured, and 44 women have been martyred—two of whom were pregnant mothers who lost their lives along with their unborn children.

“Among the war’s martyrs are 13 children, the youngest of whom was just two months old.

“The youngest survivor of the war is a four-year-old child, currently in the ICU with 50% burns.

“The child’s mother, Dr. Rasouli, was an obstetrician-gynecologist, while the father and two-month-old sister were also martyred.”

The Health Ministry also reported that seven hospitals and nine ambulances have been damaged in what it described as Israeli strikes on Iranian territory.

However, the nature and locations of the attacks were not detailed.

The latest figures come amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, which have drawn international concern and calls for restraint from global powers.

The conflict, which erupted following a series of disputed military actions in the region, has led to a sharp rise in civilian suffering and infrastructure damage, raising fears of a broader regional war.
