IN TOGETHERNESS WE MOVE MOUNTAINS

Togetherness is a necessity for humanising humanity of which you and I, individually and collectively we are part and parcel.
“The more we are together, together, together, the more we are together the happier we shall be”, so goes one of our primary school days school’s rhymes.
It portends and promotes fraternity and comradeship in our day to day mundane and spiritual lives as we are living, going and climbing one stratum of life after another.
To chest up and squarely face the meaning of existence and the why of why we live and or are living in a community of people, communal life enforces, proposes and promotes collective togetherness.
This, in Yoruba parlance is acclaimed as, “Agbajo owo la fi nsoya”.
In a nutshell, it indicates that it is in togetherness of fingers collectively forming a fist that the chest is bitten with pride.
While again admitting the individuality of individuals in tackling personal problems of life, coming together, togetherness in communality, respecting the oneness and uniqueness of the individual though carving a niche, the Yoruba still believes in togetherness and union of purposes.
Hear this submission according to the Yorubas, “Owo Omode ko to pepe, ti Agbalagba ko wo kengbe”, a child’s hand is not long enough to reach the top of a roof, so also the elder’s hand not small enough to enter a keg of wine.
I assume these aforesaid are sort of a call for building a virile society in togetherness not minding age, specialities, social statuses, moral, traditional, religious and spiritual dispositions of individuals that make up the society, nation and humanity at large.
Congregationalism and communality, Jesus the Christ encourages by saying: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”.
New King James Version
But then why come together, by whom, for what, when and where?
The Lagos Zone of the English West African Grand Lodge held this year 2025 Pyramid Memorial with a Public Lecture entitled :’God’s Hands in Creation and Man’s Works of Art in the Environment”.
Both the Public Lecture and The Pyramid Memorial took place on Saturday, 20th September,2025 with the re-enactment of building of the Rosicrucian Pyramid of Ideals first at the Basic Trust Hall, Okelewo Abeokuta.
Members along with the invited guests from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jam’ah, the Muslim group of Nigeria Postal Service, the trio members of Oluwo Iledi Imisi Agba , the Celestial Church of Christ, and the Nigerian Red Cross Society including other members of the public jointly built the Pyramid of Ideals at the venue of the Public Lecture in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Togetherness should always be noble for Rosicrucians wherever they are found and are involved.
In whatever capacity a Rosicrucian finds a place to be, his, and / or her involvement should make the difference because as often being told , the Rosicrucian teachings impose on all members to walk the path of the Cross, its tests, trials and tribulations up to the nodal point of the Rose.
The Rose manifests the divine assurance of member’s ‘consciousness to evolve till it reaches that harmonious surrounding of Cosmic consciousness, illumination and place of personal mastership in degrees and hues.
To further enhance the beauty of this unique day in the lives of members on that day, the Rosicrucians similarly rebuilt the Pyramid of Ideals at a very unique site on the Olumo Rock, an historical and tourist site of the Egba Yoruba ethnic group of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Though, problems arise daily as they will ever be in the life of every earthly mortal, they sometimes also get mountainous for individuals and collectivity, for nations and humankind as we today experience wars and their woes, including terrorism and current genocide.
But then, all these serve as the challenges to serve as platforms for man’s aspirations for worthiness and purity of purpose when individually and / or collectively they recede, proceed, recess and recourse to the Master within for guidance, illumination.
Similarly as a propeller for being together, working together and succeeding together for the togetherness of humanity at large.
The togetherness of Rosicrucians surely helps to expand the horizon of the “Egregor” of our beloved Order Rosae Crucis and as not only in the serene environment of our temples dedicated for “Work and Worship” but also in any form of human congregation.
Wherever such gatherings are , members’ ‘thoughts and conducts must also replicate in sacred, words and actions as Rosicrucians.
Members must continue to portray their glittering light in all gatherings and honest relationships with others without any iota of prejudice but all an attempt at promoting togetherness for peace profound in the spirit of humanness and diviness of humanity at large.
May Light, Life and Love the Rosicrucians earnestly seek and search bring sanity back to the entire world and the fortunes of humankind.
So Let It Be.
