Ibadan-based Travel Agent, Aderibigbe, Becomes Iyalode Adinni of Yorubaland

Ibadan – An Ibadan-based travel agent, Alhaja Sidiqah Aderibigbe, was, on Saturday, installed as Iyalode Adini of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States.

Aderibigbe, the Chief Executive Officer of Bolade Travel Agency Limited, was conferred with the title by the League of Alfas and Imams in Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States.

The installation was performed by the President-General of the league, Shelkh Jamiu Kewulere at Oja-Oba Central Mosque in Ibadan.

Kewulere, who described Aderibigbe as a worthy ambassador of Islam, said she was never tired of contributing her quota to the progress of Islam and humanity in general.

The Islamic cleric urged the popular travel agent not to relent in her good deeds, urging her to continue to be of good character worthy of her position.

In his lecture, the Assistant Secretary-General of the league, Shelkh Sile Rufai, urged Aderibigbe to see her new position as a call to do more for Islam and humanity in general.

Rufai enjoined her to use her new position to set a template for others in exemplary conduct and activities.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Akinola, attested to the fact that Aderibigbe inherited her good character from her parents.

Akinola, said that the title conferred on Aderibigbe was in recognition of her numerous contributions to Islam and Nigeria in general, pledging to work with her for the betterment mankind.

Responding, the new title holder appreciated the league of Imams and Alfas for finding her worthy of the title.

She promised never to relent in doing things that would be of benefit to Islam and humanity in general.

Dignitaries present at the occasion include Deputy Governor of Ogun, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Shelkh Abdul-Ganiy Agbotomokekere and Chief Imam of Abeokuta, Shelkh Sadulahi Bamgbola.

Others are Chief Imam of Osogbo, Dr Maruf Ishola, Babaisale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Alhaji Lateef Oyelade, Chairman of Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamarudeen Aderibigbe as well as other Islamic title holders and traditional leaders. (NAN/vitalnewsngr.com)
