A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kogi State, Hon. Abdulkarim Usman Isah Wambai, said contrary to insinuations, he is still a full and active member of the party both in body and spirit.
Wambai who spoke at a press conference in Abuja said speculations about his romance with one of the opposition parties was untrue and mischievous.
He said the rumour was part of the mischievous activities against him, urging his teeming supporters and members of the public to treat discountenance and treat the development with levity.
Wambai said those spreading such information were doing so as propaganda to win the hearts of some APC leaders in the state.
He, however, blamed the development on the inactivity of the party in the Kogi Local Government area where he hails from, saying that the party’s leadership had failed to carry some members of the party along in the scheme of things.
“I Hon. Abdulkarim Usman Isah (WAMBAI) would like to address recent rumors and misinformation regarding my political affiliation with Social Democratic Party.
“I want to make it clear that I am still a dedicated member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and have not decamped to the SDP as being rumored.
“Any claim suggesting otherwise are untrue. I remain committed to the ideals and goals of the APC and will continue to work within the party to achieve our collective objectives.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
He, therefore, charged the Kogi Local Government APC Executive Committee to wake up to its responsibility as it had neglected some members. (vitalnewsngr.com)
