Governor Dapo Aniodun of OgState has appointed Prince Adebayo Apelogun as the Amirul Hajj (Leader) of the state’s contingent to this year’s hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Apelogun is the current National President of the Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners, Repairs and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN).
Abiodun also appointed 13 others as members of welfare board ad-hoc committee to facilitate this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

He said while Apelogun is the Amirul Hajj, Shaekh Ishaq Olorungbebe will serve as the chairman of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Members of the board are Sheik Lawal Iskeel (Sugar), Sheikh Shile Rufai, Imam Sabeeq Aladi Ibrahim, Sheik Wasiu Raheem Balogun, Imam Abdul-Lateef Ismail Afolabi, TPL. Ogunfowora Kamoru Olayiwola, Alhaji (Imam) Hassan Tijani, Alhaji Hussein Oredipe Mustapha and Alhaji (Imam) Uthman Akewukanwo.
Others arenAlhaja Alatise Korede Fausat, Alhaja Egunjobi Kafilat Aderonke and Alhaja Jinadu Zainab Iyabode.
Akinmade quoted the governor as charging the appointees to discharge their obligations diligently with high level of commitment so as to ensure comfort and safety of pilgrims from Ogun State. (vitalnewsngr.com)
