The Governing council, Management , staff and students of Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Obangede (CONO), have expressed happiness over the victory of the Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate, Comrade Salifu Joel Oyibo in the governorship election held in Saturday, November 11 in the state.
The management of the college stated this in a congratulatory message in Lokoja on Wednesday.
The Provost of the College, Mrs Hannah Oziohu Abraham who signed the statement.
According to the statement, the landslide victory recorded by the governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Deputy Governor Elect , Comrade Salifu Joel Oyibo underscored the love and acceptance of the good style of administration of Governor Yahaya Bello by the people of the state.
The Provost, Mrs Hannah Oziohu Abraham commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the unwavering support he gave to the All Progressives Congress which she said culminated in the outstanding victory of the party in the election.
She expressed optimism that the incoming administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will consolidate on the achievements of the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
“On behalf of the Governing Council, the Management Team, members of Staff and the entire students of CONO, we pray that your tenure as the incoming Governor of the state will yield fruitful ,remarkable and impactful success not only to Kogi State but Nigeria at large.
“I congratulate Governor Yahaya Bello for leading us to victory. His sermon for a violence-free election was clearly manifested.
“This victory is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and the trust that the people of Kogi State have placed in him.
“Your election also reflects the confidence that the majority of the citizens have in your leadership abilities and your vision for the state.
“We believe that under your leadership, Kogi State will continue to experience growth, development, and prosperity.
” We in CONO believe that your tenure will favour the College and the entire Kogi citizens
“May God grant you the wisdom, strength, and courage to tackle the challenges that lie ahead, as you focus on achieving the goals that you have set for the betterment of Kogi State,”
