Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Tuesday led the state governor-elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo to pay a courtesy visit to the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the State House, Abuja.
Speaking, Bello expressed gratitude to Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her support in mobilising women and other crucial stakeholders to vote for Ododo during the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.
He expressed confidence that Ododo, after his inauguration on January 27, 2024, would bring pride to Kogi women, the party, and the people of the state.
Responding, the First Lady congratulated Ododo, saying that his victory indicated the people of Kogi State’s desire for continuity and consolidation.
She urged the governor-elect to uphold the trust placed in him by the people and the party, by ensuring the fulfillment of his campaign promises.
Also speaking, Ododo, assured Senator Oluremi of his resolve to work for the people of the state
He promised not to betray the trust reposed in him by the people.
