Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Thursday embarked on inspection visits to some ongoing projects of his administration being undertaken in Lokoja, the state capital.
Among the projects visited by Governor Ododo are the Lokoja Ultra Modern Market, Audit House, Treasury House, and the Crusher Road Toll Gate.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Ali Bello who led the inspection team on behalf of thr Governor Ododo, said the move was part of routine spot checks to ensure project quality, timely execution, and adherence to technical standards.
According to him, the Audit House and Treasury House projects are designed to enhance administrative efficiency, promote transparency in governance, and improve inter-agency coordination within the civil service.
He described the Lokoja Ultra-Modern Market as a flagship commercial project aimed at transforming the trading environment in the state capital, providing a safer and more organized space for economic activity, and creating jobs for thousands of Kogites.
“The market, when completed, will not only boost local commerce but will also serve as a regional hub for trade and enterprise,” he said.
Speaking at the site of the Crusher Road Toll Gate, Bello explained that the project is a key component of the administration’s efforts to improve road infrastructure in the state.
He noted that the toll gate would enhance road safety, reduce congestion, and facilitate movement of goods and people across the state.
“These projects reflect Governor Ododo’s infrastructural blueprint, which focuses on functionality, economic impact, and long-term benefit to the people,” he added.
He emphasized that all contractors have been given clear directives to adhere to high standards, saying that any deviation from quality or timelines will not be tolerated by the administration.
