Federal University Oye-Ekiti has made remarkable strides in academic research, as reflected in its increasing number of publications indexed on Scopus.

In 2020, FUOYE recorded 204 articles on Scopus. This number significantly increased to 342 in 2021, 347 in 2022, and 369 in 2023.

The trend continued in 2024, with FUOYE achieving its highest annual publication count of 413 articles.

This steady rise in research publications highlights the commitment of FUOYE to academic excellence, innovation, and global knowledge contribution.

A key driving force behind this achievement is the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, whose administration has prioritized research development, faculty engagement, and international collaborations.

Under his leadership, the university has fostered an environment that encourages scholarly activities, supports faculty research, and strengthens partnerships with global academic institutions.

Prof. Fasina’s commitment to enhancing FUOYE’s research profile has also led to improved research funding, state-of-the-art facilities, and strategic policies that empower researchers to publish in high-impact journals.

His vision for FUOYE as a world-class research institution continues to drive innovation and academic excellence.

As the university continues on this trajectory, stakeholders anticipate even greater achievements in research output, reinforcing FUOYE’s role in advancing knowledge and societal development.
