The November 22, 2025 EKU OBA Festival in Ebiraland became the backdrop for a powerful generational handover as Omeiza Audu (Troy), son of the late Otenyi Emmanuel Ojo Scout, announced his intention to run for Member, House of Representatives, Okene/Ogori‑Magongo Federal Constituency, in 2027.
The festival, which commemorated his father’s enduring legacy of unity and service, resonated with the crowd dressed in white, symbolizing purity and oneness.
Troy’s father, the late Emmanuel Ojo Scout, was revered as Otenyi of Ebiraland, “The Repairer of the Land” and passed away on April 26th, 1996 while still active in public service.
During the festival, Troy witnessed a massive turnout of villagers who moved from his family home to his father’s resting place.
He stepped forward with humility, offering the little food and water he had to the crowd, a gesture that underscored the compassion and modesty his lineage embodies.
This moment ignited an unshakable resolve, prompting the former NAKOSS President, to declare his political ambition.
Troy affirmed his readiness to carry the torch of leadership, emphasizing a heart grounded in service and a vision of true representation for the constituency.
“The torch has been passed, and Omeiza Audu (Troy) is ready to lead. So help him God.”
