Participants at the training programme were young unionists selected from different parts of Nigeria.

They were trained on how to represent their members rightly.

The Coordinator and representative of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in Nigeria is Comrade Remi Ihejirika, who has been anchoring the program and has graduated hundreds of unionists.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Tunde Aremu advised young unionists to fight for social justice.

He said : “unions’ struggle is a continuous one until the objective is achieved, there’s no room to relent. ‘

Certificate presentation was made by Comrade Bello Ismail, NLC Deputy General Secretary.

Ismail admonished the graduates that the training and certificate they received was a call to do more and represent the interest of members.

He said the certificate should not be put under the carpet but to stand for members for what is just and right.

Aside certificate presentation, the event featured dance and brief presentation of what the training imparted in the last 9 months.

Graduation cake was cut by the 26 graduates and they also jointly presented gifts to the Coordinator as show of love and appreciation to the organisation.
