Electricity Consumer Group Urges Tinubu To Declare State Of Emergency In Power Sector

Nigeria Consumer Protection Network (NCPN) has called on President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency in the power sector.

The President of NCPN, Kunle Kola Olubiyo made the call in a statement obtained by Vital News on Tuesday.

He also called on Tinubu to review the power privatisation exercise carried out in 2013 by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

National interest/Public Importance Review the Power Sector Privatisation Exercise For the evidently pronounced failure.

‘You recalled that Power Sector was Privatised in the year 2013
with embedded design for mid term Review in 2018 and Review of the 10 years Moratorium in 2013.
