Ilorin – The Governorship, National and State Houses of Assembly election petition tribunal for Kwara and Ekiti States sitting in Ilorin has solicited the co-operation of all parties to enable it deliver on it mandate.
The Chairman of the three-man tribunal, Justice T.Asua made the appeal at the inaugural sitting of the tribunal in Ilorin.
Asua made the appeal alongside two other members of the tribunal; Justice O. Abdulmalik ,and Justice Rabi Bashir.
The Chairman promised that the tribunal will be fair to all parties.
He said he and other members of the tribunal will strictly be guided and abide by the oath of office.
Justice Asua advised the parties to ensure compliance with the timing of the petition as specified by the law.
Responding on behalf of all parties in the petitions, Barrister Wahab Ismail assured that they will give the court the maximum cooperation required to enable it succeed.
The tribunal has a total number of 14 petitions to entertain,with Kwara State having 10 and Ekiti State, four. (vitalnewsngr.com)
