Inspector Adeboye Adesegun, the Prosecutor cited sections of the Ekiti State Criminal Laws 2021, which prescribe punishment for the offense.

Lawyer to Ikoja, Mr David Ogbede, applied for bail, arguing that his client was presumed innocent and would not jump bail.

However, the prosecutor opposed the application, citing concerns that Ikoja might abscond due to discrepancies in her name in a previous court case.

Magistrate Olatomiwa Daramola refused to grant the bail request and remanded Ikoja in correctional custody in Ado-Ekiti.

He then adjourned the case until April 22 for further hearing.
