The General Manager of the State Sports Council, Mr. Adekunle Adeyemi has been recalled from the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State over the shabby appearance of the athletes from the state at the formal opening of the games on Saturday.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State on Sunday directed immediate recall of Adeyemi to come and account for the poor kitting of the athletes .

A statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun said the directive followed the shabby appearance of the State contingent during the match-past event during the opening ceremony of the National Youths Games .

Olatubosun said the shabby appearance of the athletes was unwarranted as government adequate provisions for their participation at the games.
