Lokoja – The National Working Committee(NWC) of the All Progressives Congress(APC) on Sunday enjoined Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu over the economic policies and reforms being carried out by his administration to bring Nigeria back on track .
Speaking in Lokoja, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Hon Duro Meseko and the National Vice Chairman, South East of the party, Hon Ijeoma Arobiodu said the reforms were necessary sacrifices to bring about a sustainable socio-economic recovery of the country.
Both Meseko and Arobiodu spoke during a Sunday service at the Kogi State Government House Chapel, Lokoja.
They represented the National Working Committee (NWC) members of the party at the service specially organised to round off their three-day visit to Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
Members of the NWC, including governors, deputy governors,national assembly members and some top shots of the party were in the state for the inauguration of the party’s national campaign council for the governorship election coming up on November 11, 2023.
” We are appealing to the good people of Nigeria to be patient with us.
“The reforms being carried out by the the Federal Government are very necessary to lead us out of the woods.
“We are assuring Nigerians that we shall all see light at the end of the tunnel soonest,” Meseko said on behalf of the NWC.
He thereafter announced a donation of N1million from the NWC to the Chapel.
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja and the State Security Adviser, retired Navy Commander Jerry Omodara with several other Government functionaries attended the service. (vitalnewsngr.com)
