Abuja – The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Rev. Henry Ndukuba has enjoined Nigerians to be hopeful for a new Nigeria on the account of Easter.
Ndukuba, in an interview with newsmen in Abuja said that God is on the side of Nigeria and that He loves the country.
According to him, because He loves us, he sent his son to bear our sins, burden and affliction and to die a death that would have been ours.
The primate said that the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ gives hope that the sufferings and challenges of the country will not destroy it.
“Because Jesus died and rose again, we have hope that the Lord will break every yoke and He will give life to us and our nation.
“So I encourage Nigerians, economically, physically and spiritually we are struggling and the lord has remembered us and He will turn around our captivity.
“Because Christ has risen for the dead, everything that is dying in this nation shall receive a touch of God, the way He will do it, I do not know, how He will do it, I do not know.
“He may use instruments that we do not expect, therefore, we should pray God to intervene and we will have a testimony at the end of the story,” he said.
Earlier, in a sermon titled ‘He is Risen’, Ndukuba urged “total surrender to Christ Jesus and let Him be the Lord of all lives in the world.”
He urged faithful not to be afraid of the circumstances around them but have faith in the transformative power of Christ to change their destiny for good.
The cleric said that death was not the ultimate, saying that by the resurrection of Christ, all those who believe shall live. (NAN/vitalnewsngr.com)
