A breakdown of the medal table shows that Delta State secured the number one position with an impressive haul of 126 gold, 100 silver, and 111 bronze medals, totaling 337 medals.
Ogun State claimed the second spot with a strong showing of 93 gold, 65 silver, and 80 bronze, bringing their total to 238 medals.
Bayelsa State followed closely in third place, earning 92 gold, 65 silver, and 71 bronze, for a total of 228 medals.
Rivers State secured fourth place with 76 gold, 58 silver, and 65 bronze medals, totaling 199 medals.
Edo State rounded out the top five with 73 gold, 101 silver, and 119 bronze, amounting to 293 medals.
Further down the rankings, states like Zamfara State, 1 medal, Kebbi State, 2 medals, and Kogi State, 4 medals recorded poor performance throughout the 2025 Gateway games.
The total medal count for the Games reached 2,140 medals; 633 gold, 625 silver, and 882 bronze.
The Gateway Games 2024 was hosted across various venues in Ogun State, including the MKO Abiola Stadium.
