Lokoja – Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has appointed Alhaji Zakariyyau Aliyu Abubakar (Zaak) as the state Amirul Hajj 2023.
Zaak , who has vast experience in hajj operations was appiinted Amirul Hajj by the governor at the weekend.
He was a former staff of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and a prominent member of the Kogi State Chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI).
He currently serves as the Chairman of Voter Education Committee of JNI.
Meanwhile, the JNI has commended Governor Bello for putting the Square peg in a square hole by the appointment of Zaak .
The JNI which gave the commendation in a statement in Lokoja on Monday expressed optimism that Zaak will perform very well as Amirul Hajj.
“May Allah reward him abundantly as we are very optimistic that our brother and Distinguished Veteran of Hajj Operations will deliver on mandate.
“Kogi State JNI also congratulates Council of Ulamau in the State on this honour done to it’s Image Maker and indeed the Ummah in the State. Alhamdulillah,” the statement said. (vitalnewsngr.com)
