Ibadan – Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde has sworn in Mr Bayo Lawal as the new Deputy -Governor of the state.
Lawal’s emergence as the new Deputy-Governor followed the impeachment of the former Deputy-Governor, Rauf Olaniyan by the state house of assembly earlier on Monday.
Lawal, the new deputy- governor was born at Agbo Compound, Koso Area in Kishi town of Oke-Ogun.
Aged 70 years, Lawal, an economist and a lawyer studied Economics and law at the prestigious University of Ibadan.
He was the state attorney-General and Commissioner for justice under former Governor Lam Adesina, from 1999 to 2003.
He holds the Chieftaincy title of Aare Baamofin of Kishi and was until now the Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.(vitalnewsngr.com)
