Bandits Strike In Kogi Communities, Kill Two Persons, Abduct Many

Terrorists have attacked Ihalé and Olle communities in Kabba/Bunu Local Government of Kogi State, killing two people and abducting unspecified number of residents.

Eyewitnesses said the attack took place simultaneously on December 19, 2025.

At Olle community, the killed Mr. Williams Onimayin and Mr Olowo Memobiayere, and abducted many other people.

Also at Ihale community, the terrorists were said to have kidnapped more than 10 people.

The Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Hon. Dare Michael, confirmed the incident through a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, John Omofa.

He assured residents that government and security agencies are on top of the situation.

He said efforts are underway to rescue all the victims.

Dare sympathised with the families and communities that lost loved ones in the incident and prayed for the peaceful repose of their souls.

He pointed out that those behind the dastardly act will be apprehended.
