APC Supporters Stage Solidarity Walk For Tinubu, Ohere, Shaibu, Otokiti At Ihima

Members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) numbering thousands on Monday staged a peaceful solidarity walk on major streets of Ihima, the headquarters of Okehi Local Government in Kogi State in support of the part’s candidates contesting the 2023 general elections.

The members and supporters, chanted various solidarity songs and displayed banners with various inscriptions in support of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, national assembly and state house assembly candidates

They walked from the popular Obangede junction in the town and ended the solidarity walk at Ikuehi, where party members and their huge crowd of supporters pledged their support for the APC government at the centre and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

Some party stalwarts who spoke at the event were unanimous in their statements that since creation of Kogi State, no Governor has done much and impacted positively on citizens and critical sectors like Governor Bello.

At Ikuehi, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, .Ozigi Salami Deedat, while addressing the mammoth crowd, commended the party members and supporters for their love for the party.

APC members and supporters during the solidarity walk in support of the party’s candidates at Ihima Monday

He assured them that the tempo of development and achievements currently being witnessed in the nooks and cranny of the state under Governor Yahaya Bello-led administration will be sustained.

He also said that
Kogi Central district and Ihima in particular will not be short changed in the scheme of things.

The Commissioner called on the people of Ihima and the entire people of Kogi Central Senatorial District to vote all the party’s candidates from presidential, national and state assembly during the coming elections.

According to him, the large turn out of people for the peaceful solidarity walk is an indication that the people are truly happy with the achievements of the government and not listening to concocted stories from the opposition.

While addressing the rally, the Chairman of Okehi Local Government, Hon. Abdulrahim Ohiare, assured the crowd of supporters of more dividends of democracy from the state and local governments.

He urged them to come out en masse on election days and vote for APC candidates in all positions.

The Chairman added that the coming of the Tinubu-Shettima presidency would usher in nothing but prosperity, joy and happiness for Nigerians.

The House of Assembly member, representing Okehi State Constituency, Hon Muktar Bajeh, also commended the supporters for their show of love and support for the party and all its candidates contesting the 2023 elections.

Highlight of the walk was the presentation of the party candidates contesting the 2023 elections in Kogi Central Senatorial District.

They include Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ohere for Senate; Hon Idris Ozi Shaibu for House of Representatives (Adavi/Okehi constituency); and Hassan Otokiti, House of Assembly, Okehi State Constituency.(vitalnewsngr.com)
