The sudden resignations of the National Chairman and the National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has forced the party to postpone its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings indefinitely.
While the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Adamu Abdullahi resigned his position on Sunday, July 16, the National Secretary , Senator Iyiola Omisore resigned on Monday, July 17.
The National Vice Chairman of the APC, North, Alhaji Abubakar Kyari is now the Acting National Chairman of the party
Addressing newsmen at the end of an emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting of the party in Abuja on Monday, Kyari said that both the NEC and National Caucus meetings have been postponed indefinitely.
He said the sudden resignations of Adamu and Omisore necessitated the postponement.
Kyari said new dates for the meeting will be announced.
